    • Day 1 - Arrival Lyon

      Welcome to Lyon. You will be met at the airport and transferred to the ship where you will be welcomed by your Captain and crew. Tonight, enjoy a welcome reception and dinner on board.

    • Day 2 - Chalon-Sur-Saône – Beaune

      Chalon–Sur–Saône is best known as the birthplace of photography and the center of Burgundy’s wine region. Travel by road to the quaint village of Beaune, where we visit the Hospices de Beaune, one of the finest examples of French fifteenth–century architecture. Marvel at the multi–colored roofs of this former hospital, now a museum, which has become one of the symbols of Burgundy.

    • Day 3 - Lyon

      Lyon is France’s third largest city, a former Roman capital positioned at the conference of the Rhone and Saone rivers, which is steeped in history. Today be part of the guided tour of Lyon, which starts with a drive to the Basilique Notre Dame de Fourvière, Lyon’s hilltop church, with stunning views over the town. Then, pass by the recently re–discovered Roman amphitheatre and walk through the cobbled streets of the gastronomic old town including the secret laneways. Alternatively, join a guided bike tour of Lyon.

    • Day 4 - Tournon

      Join your local guide for a walking tour of Tournon, which is dominated by the 16th century castle and roman ruins, and is nestled in the valley near the steep slopes of le Massif Central, France's 3rd largest mountain range. The area has a long tradition in wine making, including the renowned wine growing centre of Tain l'Hermitage across the river.

    • Day 5 - Viviers

      Arrive in Viviers, a town which still has a lot of flare. Viviers is also the home of one of France’s oldest cathedrals, join an included city tour exploring all the architectural heritage of this quaint town.

    • Day 6 - Avignon

      Avignon has a rich history from Celtic beginnings to being the residence of the Popes and later central to the French Revolution. Although a fortified town, it is the Papal Palace which stands more secure on a hill in the centre of town; its walls are 17–18 feet thick. Your guided walk with a local guide takes you through this historic centre with its cobbled laneways and shops, overlooking the famous 'Pont d’Avignon'. The rest of the day is at leisure.

    • Day 7 - Arles

      Sail into Arles where you will join your local guide for a walking tour showcasing the highlights of the city in particular the 2000-year-old Roman Amphitheatre still in use today, which was originally built to hold 20,000 spectators in the style of the Colosseum in Rome. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax on board and explore Arles further.

    • Day 8 - Disembarkation Arles – Barcelona

      After breakfast disembark your ship and transfer via high speed train to Barcelona (included), the vibrant capital of Catalonia. Meet your Tour Director and fellow passengers for a welcome dinner and briefing.

    • Day 9 - Barcelona

      Your city tour today takes in Montjuic, the picturesque hill overlooking the city and former Jewish settlement. Visit Sagrada Familia the famous cathedral designed by Gaudi whose controversial and intricate design is reflected in much of Barcelona’s architecture. Stroll the corridor of Las Ramblas where street performers feature on every corner, then through the old town. The rest of your afternoon is at leisure. Tonight, enjoy dinner at an authentic Catalan farmhouse.

    • Day 10 - Barcelona

      Enjoy a full day at leisure today. Your Tour Director will be on hand to assist you in planning your day. Perhaps visit the Bullring, the magnificent Camp Nou stadium, or relax along the waterfront area.

    • Day 11 - Barcelona – Madrid

      Journey by high speed train to Madrid (included), then transfer to your centrally located hotel.
      Your sightseeing tour includes the Sabatini Gardens and the 18th century Royal Palace of Madrid as well as an orientation tour of the downtown Austrian quarter featuring the impressive Plaza Major. Tonight, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

    • Day 12 - Madrid

      A day at leisure in Madrid to possibly visit the Prado Museum or Bullring.

      Travel south and visit Consuegra which is famous for the best examples of Spanish windmills and
      the home of the Spanish knights. Arrive in Cordoba a city known for its blend of Jewish and Moorish influences.

    • Day 14 - Cordoba – Granada

      Your morning guided tour takes in the Aljama Mosque one of the most emblematic examples
      of Islamic Art which famously features a Christian cathedral inside it. After free time for lunch, continue onto Granada and enjoy a walking orientation of the city centre and a free evening.

    • Day 15 - Granada – Malaga

      Granada is home to the impressive Alhambra Palace, one of Spain’s most recognisable Moorish structures completed in the 14th century, when Spain was largely occupied by Muslim invaders. Visit this impressive UNESCO World Heritage site. En route to Malaga You’re Invited to a home hosted lunch in Alfarnatejo a typical Andalusian village. Continue to Malaga, on the ‘Costa del Sol’.

      This morning take a guided walking tour of Malaga seeing the Alcazaba Walls and Gibralfaro Castle. Visit the Alcazaba Fortress, the best preserved Moorish fortress palace in Spain. This afternoon and evening are at leisure to go to the beach, stroll the shops and promenade.

    • Day 17 - Gibraltar – Seville

      The rock of Gibraltar is a territory of the United Kingdom that sits at the mouth of the Mediterranean at the very foot of Spain. For many centuries it has been an important strategic port for the British Navy. Visit the Rock which is home to Barbary Apes and diverse birdlife as well as the old town dotted with traditional English pubs. Continue onto Seville and check into your hotel where dinner
      is included in a local restaurant.

    • Day 18 - Seville

      Seville is the capital of Andalucia. Visit the impressive 15th Century Cathedral built on the site of the former mosque, incorporating the famous Bell Tower as part of its structure. Wander the windy laneways of the old town then visit Seville’s wonderful Plaza de Espana and Alcazar.
